Unfortunately, we lost a great soul yesterday. Bob Saget passed away in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Florida while he was there for his stand-up comedy tour. We’re clearly not breaking the news here, but he was such an influence on our brand of humor, and he also personally touched Inny’s life when she met him back in 2007.
Back then, Saget had come into the radio station studio for an interview (he was promoting a stand-up show he was doing then too), and then 8-month pregnant Inny and Bob Saget both happened to be wearing the same outfit: black & white Converse shoes, jeans and matching white t-shirts. They looked like uneven Siamese twins from a fake story line from a bad movie!
But Inny has always had a special place in her heart for Bob Saget. And for good reason – he was the dirtiest of comics, while also having one of the kindest hearts in Hollywood. Need proof? Go find all the nice things being said about him online and through social media. It seems the character Bob Saget played on Full House, Danny Tanner, wasn’t just an act. He also hosted the 1980’s groundbreaking show America’s Funniest Home Videos.
Rest in peace, Bob. Somewhere up in the clouds your telling your wholesome and loving family the filthiest punchlines you can think of…. R.I.P. Bob Saget, America’s Dirtiest Dad. 😢
