Living Colour’s “Cult Of Personality” featured on The Walking Dead’s Series Finale

Did you watch the series finale of The Walking Dead this Sunday? If you did like me, then we share at least two things in common:

  1. You were terribly let down by the end of the original series, no matter how may blogs and articles declared otherwise.
  2. And you noticed the final battle against the so-called “biters” were choreographed to Living Colour’s “Cult Of Personality”.

By the way, “Cult Of Personality” was/is a HUUUGE on terrestrial radio, and what a fantastic song too. If you’re unfamiliar with what the song means, then look it up. It may sound a bit familiar with today’s political headlines.

I loved the use of the song in the show, just like other classics on The Walking Dead. Anyone remember Wang Chung’s “Space Junk” from way back in episode 1?

If you’re also unfamiliar with the band Living Colour, check them out. They were trail blazers in more ways than one. And be sure to catch their songs on The Retro. Bands like this fuel us to play more artists that deserve more exposure.
