Jack White, born John Anthony Gillis, is from Detroit, Michigan. He is a multi-faceted artist and has been involved in multiple rock bands including The White Stripes, The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather. He’s also collaborated with multiple artists of various music stylings like Loretta Lynn, Alicia Keys, Electric Six, Danger Mouse and composer Daniele Luppi, and the Insane Clown Posse (really?). Other collaborations include Wanda Jackson, Jack White’s ex-wife Karen Elson, The Flaming Lips, Ashley Monroe and Ricky Scaggs.
Jack White is an integral sound on The Retro. We play damn near his entire catalog. We focus on his incredible songwriting, guitar playing and underrated singing. And thus, this amazing guitar/multi-instrumentalist embodies our musical vision and curation of the music we play. It’s hard to argue his dominance of garage and other rock over the last 20+ years.
