Brendan Benson

Brendan Benson is a singer/songwriter and solo artist from Royal Oak, Michigan. He is also a multi-instrumentalist playing guitar, bass, keyboards and an accomplished singer. He is also known for co-fronting the band The Raconteurs with Jack White as a singer, songwriter and guitar player. And in addition to the three albums released with The Raconteurs, Benson has released six solo albums, recently releasing Dear Life on April 24th, 2020.

He has also produced many artists’ albums, and his own. These other acts include The Raconteurs, MODOC, Leigh Nash, Young The Giant, Trapper Schoepp, Earl Burrows, The Howlin Brothers, The Maine, Robyn Hitchcock, The Lost Brothers, Cory Chisel and the Wandering Sons, Eric Burdon and the Greenhornes, Young Hines, Margaret Cho, Well & Goode, Hello=Fire, The Muldoons and Whirlwind Heat.

Benson’s songwriting spans between his solo work, his involvement with The Raconteurs, Jack White, Mike Kerr of Royal Blood, Ashley Monroe, and more. His musicianship includes vocals, guitar and bass, keyboards and drums. In addition, artist collaborations include artists Jack White, Ashley Monroe, The Greenhornes, The Waxwings, Corey Chisel and Jape. He also upstarted the label Readymade Records in 2012. The first acts to release on the new label were Benson himself, Young Hines and Well & Goode, an act Brendan started with The Raconteurs’ touring musician Mark Watrous of Gosling and Loudermilk.
